9 teams are on hand to contest the 2013 McMillan Cup at Navy this weekend.

The wind for the day came in strong from the SSW staring at 16 knots and
building to the low 20s by early afternoon then diminishing slightly for
the later races.

PRO Ken Jacobs and his crack RC team ran four races today on
windward/leeward 4 leg courses.

NY Maritime came out of the blocks hot winning the first race handily but
suffered a jib clew blowout early in race 2 for which they requested and
received redress of average points of the day. They won race 3 as well but
suffered a DSQ in race 4 after finishing second which hammered their
average. As a result, Coast Guard emerged as the leader for the day just
one point up on Mass Maritime and 3 up on Navy. NY Maritime is 6 points
off the lead.

Three races are planned for tomorrow with a bit less breeze in the forecast.
