Jadi ada sebuah kantor yang udah terlanjur happy pakai email Google Apps dengan jatah gratis 50 user account (sekarang gratisnya cuma 10). Kantor/perusahaannya lumayan besar, sehingga emailnya akhirnya harus ditambah.
Optionnya: - Tetep pake Google Apps. Dia harus bayar *2550 USD per tahun* untuk sekedar nambah 1 account (jadi total 51 account) - Buka domain baru (misal ptanu-mail.com) trus daftarin Google App lagi - Hosting ndiri. Pilihan ke-3 akhirnya diambil: - Ongkos nitip server di IIX di bawah 3 juta per bulan - Gaji admin (ngerti mail server, buat jagain server, troubleshoot, customer service, dkk.) - Ongkos setup awal termasuk beli server dkk. ... total-total masih dapet di bawah 20 juta per tahun dengan user account tak terbatas. Yang hilang adalah kemudahan webmail Gmail (termasuk spam filter, mobile access dkk nya). Itu Google App for Business mungkin bisa menarik dari sisi cost-benefit kalau emang kantornya memanfaatkan semua fitur Google Apps dengan maksimal (misal kalendar buat scheduling, docs buat kolaborasi kerjaan, sites buat sosial, dkk).
