dikutip yah...

---------------
Using RPM, we were able to add software
packages from Sybase Inc. and Corel Corp. to the
Dell PC, but RPM didn't add these new
applications to the desktop interface or create
shortcut icons to easily launch them.

............

Red Hat's desktop interface looks like CDE
           (Common Desktop Environment) and Windows
after a nasty car accident. Although the interface
           is somewhat intuitive, corporations with
Unix-savvy employees should opt for the familiar
CDE interface that comes with Xi Graphics Inc.'s
Linux and spare themselves the rigors of
           retraining.

lah kok malah ngomongin tampilan? kebanyakan pake windows9x nih... bikin2
shortcut segala...
memang sih dulu saya juga pertama2 pake X tuh rasanya kasar banget (standard
nya redhat kan fvwm), trus pakai KDE, mirip2 tampilan windows (biarpu yang
bikin kfm nyangkal :P)terus pindah ke Afterstep, wuih... apalagi
sekarang pakai Window Maker, hehehe sekarang liat windows9x tuh jadi gitu2
doang yah... toolbar, start menu... bosen :P
eh blon coba enlightement nih... pernah sih test di freebsd (ada paketnya),
tampilan sih bener2 wah deh... tapi berat di resource yah

gitu dulu deh tanggapan saya, agak heran juga sih... kok yang dibahas malah
tampilannya, bukan performance nya

(yang lagi seneng pake window maker)
