Sekedar tambahan...
0.1. coba dicek apakah LINUX SOURCE LENGKAP (headers & Source) nya ada di
direktori /usr/src/linux. Setahu saya instalasi RedHat membuat symlink dari
/usr/src/linux ke /usr/src/linux-2.0.34-6. Coba dilihat-lihat lagi deh.
@>>1. ke direktori /usr/src/linux [ dengan akses root ]
1.1. make mrproper buat bersih-bersih... =)
@>>2. make config atau make menuconfig
Bisa juga make xconfig (atau xmenuconfig???) kalau lagi di X.
@>>3. make dep
3.1. make clean for some cleaning purpose.
@>>4. make bzImage [ lihat I nya huruf besar ].
4.1. make zImage juga bisa...
4.2. make zlilo juga boleh....
@>>5. make bzlilo
@>>6. make modules
@>>7. make modules_install
@>>8. ke direktori /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/bzImage atau zImage
8.1. koreksi.. ke direktori /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot ; cari file
zImage / bzImage
@>>9. cp vmlinuz dan System.map ke /boot [ tapi terkadang vmlinuz dan
@>>System.map bisa
@>> ada di direktori paling luar ].
9.1. rename dulu file zImage nya ke vmlinuz... mv zImage vmlinuz atau mv
zImage /boot/vmlinuz atau mv zImage /vmlinuz
@>>10. lilo
@>>11. reboot
@>>12. dep mod -a
