Want To Speak at RailsConf Europe 2008, 2-4 September in Berlin? Speak Up
and Send Us Your Proposal Now!

With the release of Rails 2.0 at the end of 2007, Rails has moved into the
next phase of its evolution. It's no longer a newcomer; it's a mature
technology, with rapid growth potential in the Web development world.
Because Rails has stayed true to its roots, with programmer comfort,
productivity, and maintainability as the hallmarks of its architecture and
style, it's continuing to win converts worldwide.

What's new? What's next? Creative experts, leaders, and under-the-radar
innovators from the full spectrum of Rails techniques and practices will
be exploring these critical questions at RailsConf Europe 2008,
co-presented by Ruby Central and O'Reilly Media, in Berlin 2-4 September
2008.

Based on feedback from last year's conference, we want to kick the program
up a notch, with more advanced/technical topics and sessions, geared to
the ambitious novice and higher skill levels.

Proposals are due by midnight PST, 18 March 2008. For additional
guidelines and to submit to your proposal, go to:
http://www.railsconfeurope.com/proposals

We are seeking proposals for 45-minute sessions and three-hour tutorials.
Your presentation should focus on teaching from experience and providing
conference participants with useful information and practical skills. Keep
in mind, the majority of the audience will be experienced Rails
practitioners--and even the relative newcomers catch up fast!

Who do we want to hear from?
-Rails developers and hackers
-Rubyists at large
-Rails trainers
-Designers with a Rails focus
-Database engineers
-Project managers
-Anyone with Rails expertise, experience, and insight

What do we want to hear about?
Feel free to propose any Rails-related topic; here are some of the areas
we'd like to include in the program:
-Time-saving developer productivity tips, tricks, and tools
-Spotlights on important Rails subsystems
-Getting the most from new Rails 2.0 features
-Rails development case studies, including application rewrites and
organizational bootstrapping
-Migrating applications and people from other technologies to Rails
-Gem and plugin highlights
-Patterns and best practices
-Extending Rails into new arenas and applications

Save the dates - 2-4 September in Berlin!
Speaker or not, you should not miss RailsConf Europe 2008, the largest

connect, and collaborate with the growing European Rails community.

Registration will open in May. To be notified when it opens--and to keep
