I think I might solve the problem, but I never used mac os.
is there something like windows RDP for mac that can work from windows or linux,
I'd be happy to try, btw I reversed Idle and Tkinter completely and I think it 
might be a tcl/tk issue I already solved,
my wrapper crashes only on fatal tcl errors on both windows and linux.
I'd be happy to help if I can.

Just noticed the following.


If you run idle3.3 (front end editor to python3.3) on a Mac running 10.8.2 and 
select Preferences from the menu, idle will crash.


On the the preinstalled idle associated with python 2.7.2, the Preferences menu 
item is disabled.
