There is an RFC for RRP: 3632, but I believe it may not be the most updated
version due to some additional features that VeriSign has added. However, I
would let Scott/Pat speak to it more definitively.

EPP (Extensible Provisioning Protocol) is the ICANN preferred protocol going
forward I would say, but again, I would really defer to Tina for more
authoritative position.

There was an IDN-over-EPP BOF held earlier in the last IETF and there were some
presentations done during the Capetown ICANN in Dec 2004. Currently we are
trying to setup a mailinglist to further discuss the matter in fact, and the
matter has been initiated and is with the Apps area director Ted Hardie at the
moment.

Personally, I think this is definitely an item that we should work on and
provide a standardized framework for. In fact during the ICANN meetings, the
presentations at ccNSO and at the Registrar Constituency yielded good results
and interest. The ccNSO also reported support for efforts to standardize the
EPP extension approach for IDN.
