The IESG has approved the following document: - 'Service Assurance for Intent-based Networking Architecture' (draft-ietf-opsawg-service-assurance-architecture-13.txt) as Informational RFC
This document is the product of the Operations and Management Area Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Warren Kumari and Robert Wilton. A URL of this Internet Draft is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-opsawg-service-assurance-architecture/ Technical Summary This document describes an architecture that aims at assuring that service instances are running as expected. As services rely upon multiple sub-services provided by a variety of elements including the underlying network devices and functions, getting the assurance of a healthy service is only possible with a holistic view of all involved elements. This architecture not only helps to correlate the service degradation with symptoms of a specific network component but also to list the services impacted by the failure or degradation of a specific network component. Working Group Summary The consensus representes the strong concurrence of a few individuals, with most WG participants being silent. Given the very niche expertise involved, this is not surprising. There was very little controversy. Document Quality This document is architecture document. Huawei has a prototype implementation of this architecture and specifically of the YANG module. Personnel Rob Wilton is the responsible AD Michael Richardson is the doc shepherd. _______________________________________________ IETF-Announce mailing list IETF-Announce@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ietf-announce
