A new IETF non-working group email list has been created.

List address: snmp-tlstm-reg-rev...@ietf.org
Archive: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/snmp-tlstm-reg-review/
To subscribe: https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/snmp-tlstm-reg-review

Purpose:
RFC 6353 defined an SnmpTLSFingerprint, which included a one-octet hash
algorithm identifier according to the values assigned by the IANA "TLS
HashAlgorithm" registry. However, this registry is no longer in use for (D)TLS
1.3 and above and is not expected to have any new registrations added to it.

RFC 9456 revises the definition of SnmpTLSFingerprint to indicate that the
one-octet algorithm identifier uses the values in the new IANA "SNMP-TLSTM
HashAlgorithm" registry. The new registry is consistent with the TLS
HashAlgorithm registry for its initial values but can be extended as needed to
support new hashing algorithms without implying that the new values can be used
by (D)TLS version 1.2.

The new mailing list can be used to request new identifier assignments in the
SNMP TLSTM HashAlgorithm registry.

This list belongs to IETF area: OPS
