Is there some reason you are so insistent on conducting a design discussion with a focus on something other than design pragmatics?  History of implementation can, of course, be relevant, in terms of risk and problems.  But I already responded to that.  Perhaps you missed it?

Perhaps you see technical risk in this?  What is it?

Perhaps you see operational risk?  What is it?

Pray share your experiences and insight that produce such a concern, because they aren't obvious.

Collaborative design work is supposed to contain more than constantly attacking alternative proposals.

So, perhaps you will consider engaging in a line of discourse that might actually be constructive, rather than insisting on creating a hostile work environment?
