As part of a list cleanup operation, the IESG is trying to reduce the number of open and unused mailing lists.
It looks like the ietf-privacy list has had no real traffic in many years, mostly being misused to announce other privacy related work outside the IETF. It looks like IETF privacy matters are discused elsewhere, such as on the Security Area wide saag list, which we recommend as it has a larger audience compared to this niche list. We intend to close this list in 4 weeks. Closing the list will mean that no new posts will be permitted. The list archives will remain intact. Paul & Deb
