Seeing as OES2 SP1 has been out for a while with iFolder 3.7, it doesn't look
too good that an open source version will be coming. I've asked many of my
contacts inside Novell about this, and it has fallen on deaf ears. I was
particularly eager for the Mac client, but without a 3.7 back-end, it's kinda
worthless (Novell states that the 3.7 client is not supported against a 3.6
back-end, but it may work). Purchasing all of OES to get iFolder seems
excessive. So while I love and swear by iFolder (warts and all), I think it's
time to find a replacement and was wondering if anyone has found something?

Originally, I wanted something to host myself, as I fear storing sensitive data
in the "cloud," but it seems a lot of the solutions have 256-bit AES encryption
now and the storage on Amazon S3 is awfully cheap. I was particularly
intrigued by JungleDisk (www.jungledisk.com). Has anyone used this or
something like it to replace iFolder functionality? Can something like this
FULLY replace iFolder?

I need both individual folders and workgroup folders, so I need a solution for
both. I also move between Windows, Mac, and Linux clients, so a cross platform
client that can sync changes between all three is a must. If I host something
internally, encryption isn't mandatory since I can tunnel it, but if I use the
cloud, it is.

I know this is way way off topic, but I figure I can't be the only one in this
boat. I've not used Microsoft Groove at all, but I think that is out due to
cross platform issues. What is everyone else doing?

Thanks.
