True enough. But how are we going to prevent people from posting there
by mistake? Is there a way on eGroups to "temporarily" disable a
mailing list, so that messages can't be posted to it, without deleting
it?

mutt is a text-based client; this is a huge advantage for me, as I tend
to type emails, not click them
