Just don't put there anything that is too trivial (e.g: anything you
wouldn't dream on submitting to freshmeat on the grounds of being trivial)

I figure we should. To encourge univerisies to relese projects under a
free license...
However, some distinction has to be made between a living project and a
"complete" (in other words: abandoned) project

What ever happened to Moshe Zadka's python mailer? (PWS?)

Fribidi was initialy written by Dov Grobgeld. It is now actually
maintained by a team of Iranians (Hi Behdad). This code is mainly used for
pango and gtk2, but also used by other small projects, such as php,
biditext and QEmacs (not {gnu|x}emacs).
The bidi code of mozilla was mainly developed in Israel. IIRC also the
code for joining of Arabic letters was developed by the same team. But I
may be mistaken. If Mati or Lina are reading this list and I'm wrong,
please correct me.
There are also Israelis as past contributers for many projects. Do you
also want to mention them?
