Hi, it creates vertex sets. Edges connect all vertices of the sets. E.g. A:B -- C is equivalent to A -- C, B -- C, but (slightly) more concise. A:B:C:D -+ E:F:G:H will create 16 edges and is a lot more concise than writing out A -+ E, A-+ F, etc.
