> C yes, Tamás decides about Python. I'm a bit swamped now and I'll probably go on a short holiday in a few days, but then I'l also release a new version of the Python interface soon(ish). However, note that most of the API changes with R/igraph 1.0.1 are on the R API level and not in the C core, so there should be no big changes in the Python interface now -- I'll just try to follow the new features in the C core.
As for the near future of the Python interface: it is definitely my first weapon of choice when it comes to igraph and I don't plan to abandon it -- however, my resources are rather limited so I'll probably just do maintenance work. To be honest, the entire API of the Python interface would benefit from a full API rewrite to be more modular (instead of just putting almost all the functionality in the Graph object), followed by a major version bump. However, that's probably not gonna happen in the next few months.
