the drive which is not working now was working perfectly well in Ubuntu b4.
the day b4 yesterday, I was viewing some photos in it, it suddenly became
slow ,I got impatient and closed it using "force quit". After that that
drive is not working.That external drive is actually partitioned. The other
drive on the external drive is accessible. And the same drive which is not
opening in Ubuntu is opening in windows. So I feel there is some problem in
initialization of the drive. But I have tried  everything  from "mount" in
command line as suggested on previous posts.

        I thing this is a problem which is difficult for a novice to solve.
It wud be nice, if someone can guide me in IIT .
