In an attempt to secure my linux I have unchecked the "system administration" option in users and settings. Thus I do not have access to Synaptic. Even the "Login Window" option is not coming on System->Administration. SInce you cant login as root from GUI in Ubuntu, I am not able to change these settings. How do I enable root logging into GUI from Ubuntu?
