Putting slides on these social media sites do have advantages as
search engines crawl these sites more frequently than our site. What
we can do is create a l...@iitd account and upload all presentations
there. Then edit wiki to put a link to slide share next to presenter.
This way we will cross link the presentation and increase the chances
of getting a higher rank in search engines. Also, the tags associated
with the presentation will help in the presentation being listed in
several locations based on the tags.
Infact we should upload presentations on multiple social media sites
such as slideshare, scribd and author share. This will provide a
comprehensive view of the content presented during the workshops to
everyone. As new memers join in they can access the older
presentations to gain the knowledge of what kind of content is
normally presented.
As for the creative commons, I put the CC license logo on the bottom
right hand corner of the slide before uploading the slide.
