Apart from embedded and mobile-- another set of topics a non beginner workshop can touch upon is CMSes-- their evolution and structure. Like for example-- I have always wanted to sit down and ask some hardcore CMS guys abt how to write wordpress plugins; drupal 6 events and joomla 1.0.x versus joomla 1.5.x+-- and even newbies may sound it interesting-- because putting up CMS-based websites- whether as blogs or homepages or society/community pages is one of the main things newbies like to do. Just some thoughts... Me really looking forward to this... since mobile/embedded is stuff even my company has dug deeply into-- though mostly not on linux.
