Can you be specific what version/distribution of Linux you using? Which player you used to play the media?
Check in 'gnome-volume-control' for volume level. If you can hear sound while booting and cant hear while playing media, try $ yum install gstreamer-plugins-good gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer- plugins-ugly totem-gstreamer gstreamer-ffmpeg vlc If you cant hear any audio , try this command $ lspci | grep "Audio" if this command returns nothing, Try these links. http://www.linuxant.com/alsa-driver/ http://linux-sound.org/drivers.html http://lau.linuxaudio.org/ On Oct 23, 3:57 pm, Pushparaj Shetty <[email protected]> wrote: > Sorry > I am *not* getting the sound. i missed the word. > Pushparaj > > On Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 11:35 PM, Sharad Birmiwal > <[email protected]>wrote: > > > > > On Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 1:15 PM, Pushparaj <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > I am getting sound. i have installed Gstreamer, alsa mixer.
