Its very easy. You don't need to use the terminal. Just go to the network manager at the top right-hand corner; right click edit connection, add your username & password to mobile broadband. Add manually. BSNL most probably wont be listed. Select CDMA(#777 instead of *99# that is for GPRS). Click available to all users & connect automatically.
