<http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=12716>Create a launcher with the command as 'gnome-terminal --geometry 1600x900' . Here 1600x900 is the resolution. The one suggested by Narendra was giving me a size that filled half of my screen. Didn't completely understand the procedure given in the link sent by Gajendraji. Thanks for the help.
