The `logout button' has the last entry as some of the things we used to
find in the `System' button on the top bar.
A bummer in this release is what Dr. Shouribrata Chatterjee pointed out:
xpdf is buggy, and will not work. A workaround is to try evince, but for
xpdf lovers, he has suggested a very interesting procedure:
sudo apt-get remove xpdf
sudo apt-get build-dep xpdf (builds dependencies)
sudo apt-get purge libpoppler-dev
sudo apt-get install libfreetype6-dev libpaper-dev libt1-dev
libx11-dev libxext-dev libxp-dev libxpm-dev libxt-dev x11proto-core-dev
sudo apt-get source xpdf (installs the source code in the current
directory)
The current directory will have:
xpdf-3.02/ xpdf_3.02-12ubuntu2.dsc
xpdf_3.02-12ubuntu2.debian.tar.gz xpdf_3.02.orig.tar.gz
cd /usr/include/ ; sudo ln -s freetype2/freetype
Then untar-gunzip the *ORIGINAL* xpdf source. (Don't use the
apt-get patched source that has been created already.)
cd into the directory.
./configure ; make ; sudo make install
