I already asked the same question like how to set up proxy in terminal to admin of the iitd. I can not do httrack , easy_install, gem install, etc even though I set the http_proxy environment variable in my terminal. They didnt help me. In most of the forums says, environment will solve this problems. But I dont know where is the problem. If any body knows this solution, please post here.
