Hi Salman, if you want to add panel then right click on the any existing panel you will see the option to create new panel
if you want to add item(power, time etc indicator) to panel then right click on the panel you will see the option "add to panel" I think that will solve your problem. if you want new fresh default look of desktop and panels then delete gnome setting that should be in ~/.g* folders. follow the step... 1. log out your graphical session 2. login to console session by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 or select xterm or recovery session at the time to login. 3. to delete the setting run command <rm -rf .g*> 4. log out by pressing Ctrl+D 5. now go back to default graphical session by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F7, 6. on login you will see your default look Note: this will remove all your gnome setting so you will loose your custom wallpaper, theme and default applications which you set to open your files with your favorite application etc. but I think its not a big problem to set again your favorite. so renew your setting :P :P On Sat, Oct 1, 2011 at 10:29 PM, Salman Karim <[email protected]> wrote: > i am using ubuntu 11.04. some of indicators(shutdown, time, battery) are > missing from the pannel. i need the command for installing new pannel > > -- > MOHD.
