In India , student learn a lot of thing of various subjects and teacher play key role. many places, stuents cannot write till 5th class. I do not think that introducing computing to a very low age is good idea. I visit lots of conf and see costly ICT solution where teacher can draw and visualize Trigonometry problems.. I cannot really convince that all these ICT stuff will really help. Example - what will you call a teacher who teach "counting, tables, addition and other basic math" ONLY on calculator and no ruff book !! can you compare this teacher with school principle who just want to digitize school in all possible ways ? I have been associate with OLPC and I do not see any impact. do anybody know any study which show Good impact ot ICT/Computer on child ? -- Mailing list guidelines and other related articles: http://lug-iitd.org/Footer
