Qt has a lgpl license to some libs, though there are gpl alternatives to
those libs. Wx has a poor base, its nowhere complete as gtk , anyway most qt
and wx apps as a rule will have to import from gi.repository as gnome is now
fused , why not use gtk, its faster cleaner and native. WxApps look horribly
out of place.
It depends on your principal target platform , if you plan a gnome app many
devs and projects have huge packagign constarints , they hate adding one
whole stack (qt or wx ... or in some cases the reverse) if you target a qet
at platform choose qt , do not choose a toolkit by ease of use, the
difference do not matter in the long run , they are similar and trivial .
Choose by target app and platform. It similar to how you choose a
programming language, choose what best fits the requirement , don't make the
app fit it.
In any case i am guessing you are doing this for a learning exp , learn both
, or one depending on the target !

My two and a bit on the issue out of experience.

Cheers !!!
