[LUG@IITD:15173] bsnl broadband on ubuntu11.10

hello friends
                 i have just installed ubuntu 11.10 on my Asus laptop. In
order to connect to official repo, i need to connect to the net i have bsnl
broadband in U. P.{that i am using in windows xp}. i am not from CS
background, so please reply me in detail or send some concerning links
