steps:
1. create bootable pendrive of ubuntu
2. boot your laptop using that pendrive
3. resize and existing partition and create another partition out of free
space using gparted
4. keep this pendrive you will need it after installing window 8
5. install window using DVD/pendrive on that newly created partition
6. if window has installed and everything works fine then boot your laptop
using ubuntu pendrive to install grub boot menu
7. after booting ubuntu from pendrive open terminal
8. sudo fdist -l # to find out your liunx partition e.g. sda3
9. sudo mount /dev/sda3 /mnt # to mount linux partion which have grub
directory
10. sudo grub-install --root-directroy=/mnt/ /dev/sda # this will install
grub

In IIT you get central account with username and password, that people
generally access using ssh. In window also you can access your that account
using ssh client or you can mount your home directory like your dedicated
drive like C:\\, D:\\ etc
