My external mic (Ahuja UTP-30, Electret Condenser Unidirectional
Microphone) has stopped working with Ubuntu 20.04 after I changed my
machine to HP EliteDesk. I need to use it with MS-Teams for online meetings
(lectures/lab sessions at my institute.) It is not detected with other
applications as well, e.g., I tried with Audacity too.

Followings are some more details:

   - It was working perfectly with the same OS (Ubuntu 20.04) with my old
desktop (assembled core i-3) which had 6 audio i/o jacks at its back. I was
using the Mic-in (Pink) port of it.
   - New machine (HP EliteDesk) has two audio ports in front:
(Microphone/headphone and Headphone) and two ports on rear side (Line-in
audio and Line-out). I tried with both the input ports (front as well as
rear) but have not been successful so far.
   - I have dual boot machine and it is working perfectly with Windows-10,
with both the input ports discussed above.
