Kalau untuk bius sesaat misalnya untuk pindah ikan besar, bisa pakai "Ether", belinya di toko kimia.
Caranya : Air aquarium dikurangi terlebih dulu. Ambil ether di tutup botolnya, tuangkan di permukaan air. Tunggu sebentar (15-30 dt, tergantung jenis/ukuran ikan) sampai ikan tidak bereaksi kalau dipegang. Segera pindahkan ke tempat baru (jangan air baru) yang diberi aerasi cukup banyak. NB: Tidak berlaku untuk ikan dengan labyrinth (cupang, arapaima dll) A.
