It was brought to my attention that Andreas Rottmann has an emacs mode which allows you to jump directly to the position of syntax errors when ikarus reports the file/position of the error. It is located here:http://github.com/rotty/dotfiles/tree/master/.emacs.d/lisp/ikarus- script.el
