Hmmm... I've only tested it on Linux. There must be something I'm doing OpenGL wise which isn't going over well with the OpenGL implementation on Mac. It could be the newly added GLU support. Unfortunately I don't have a Mac to test this out on immediately. If you're still interested in seeing the performance differences, I'd say try it on Linux if you get a chance.
