Jose is also the author of FUEL (Factor's Ultimate Emacs Library). Aziz, I happen to know that you're a vim user. Here's the thing; Slava Pestov (author of Factor) wrote his own editor called Jedit. FUEL was so damn good, it convinced Slava to switch from Jedit to Emacs. So beware. ;-) Jose is like a missionary for the Church of Emacs.
BTW, I have decided long ago that I will not be in the business of writing text editors. I have wondered what it would take to hook up ikarus to existing editors/debuggers. I have looked into netbeans since it has a language-independent protocol for how netbeans communicates with the system. I of course gave up. Now geiser looks like a more promising frontend, and I'm all for supporting it (even if I'm not switching to Emacs any time soon, or ever). Just need to know what to do.
