Used the .ikarus. files as templates, and added what was missing.
If you can factor out the common code in the compatibility library
(e.g., put everything rnrs-definable in one library, and everything
implementation-specific in another), that would be great.

Wish I could say the same! It took me 3 full days to port it to
Ikarus. Gladly, Ikarus was good enough for me that I did not have
to add anything new to support that library.
