I think that these categories of functions should have clear distinct names:
DOMAIN RANGE
non-functions non-functions
non-functions functions
functions functions
functions non-functions
It seems like "higher-order", "functional", and "combinator", are used
interchangably for functions with a domain of functions. More precision
is in order.
If you can't point to authoritative names, by all means, paint the
bikeshed. :-)
