Wak, according to [0], means "six" in Mayan. I searched freshmeat and sourceforge and did a bit of googling as well: apparently, this is not yet taken by a free software project. It's very short, and reasonably unique. So unless I hear objections in the next few days, I'll apply for a project on Gna! and Gitorious using that name.
