Hello Partners,
please go thru the requirement and send me if you have any profiles.
The Opportunity: SQR Developer
SQR Developer needed to work with an obsolete
version of SQR software with all processing being accomplished on an
aging SCO Unix server. This situation is no longer sustainable; hence,
we are seeking a replacement solution to be implemented as soon as
possible, NLT than November 2011.
The new, replacement solution must be
implemented using approved development software and hardware. To this
end, we require the selected vendor to use the Microsoft Reporting
Services suite of tools: MS Reporting Services, Analysis Services and
Integration Services with all components hosted on Microsoft Windows
servers.
The nature of the work can perhaps best be
described by reviewing a snippet from the Conceptual Design Document
for the existing SQR solution (see the section below, ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION), while keeping in mind that certain aspects of this
design must be revisited?
* For instance, in addition to
producing a physical ?book?, we need the output to be delivered as an
email attachment in HTML format. The reason is obvious: we do not want
to assume the end user wishes to print the report they requested; they
may only need to view the report.
* All aspects of configuring local
printers should be handled by the end user requesting the report. In
other words, the programmed solution should not encompass printer
configuration.
Some aspects of the current design, however,
can not change?
* The current budget application that
is used for all data entry, BFMS (The Budget and Financial Management
System), must still serve as the ?calling application? for invoking
the calls to create the end-user desired version of the Annual Budget
Report. This includes all aspects of the current User Interface.
* The Oracle database that stores all
data entered via the BFMS application and used as input to the Annual
Budget Report can not change for the most part. Tables can be added as
needed to create the new replacement solution; but existing database
structures cannot be altered.
Formatting ?
* The physical ?layout? of the
resulting Annual Budget Report should remain constant. This is based
on the State of Maine?s organizational structure which accommodates
printing of specific portions of the Annual Budget Report according to
very specific security permissions. However, specific fonts and other
more subjective formatting changes can be submitted for consideration
to the Project Team. Such changes that result in an improved output in
terms of ?look and feel? will certainly be considered.
Training ?
* The selected vendor will also
provide in-depth knowledge transfer sessions to impart sufficient
technical information to SOM technical staff who will maintain this
solution moving forward. These sessions will be scheduled, and the
selected vendor will be required to be present at State of Maine for
the knowledge transfer process.
If you or the person you know is immediately
available, please reply with a word copy version of the resume. Thanks
in advance?
Thanks and Regards,
