We have an opening for “*SAP BASIS DBA*”, please find detailed job description. *Job Title : SAP BASIS DBA* *Job Duration : 7 months* *Job Location : *Portland, PacifiCorp** * * *Job Description : * * * · Performs activities related to the installation, upgrade, and support services of SAP Enterprise Netweaver, Portal, ECC 6, BW, and xAPP systems. Works closely with other technical teams such as SAP security, Unix, and SAP Functional teams to provide development support and technical assistance. · Perform database administrative functions for the SAP landscape including maintenance and monitoring of database servers. · Support the design, construction, and implementation phases of a system and/or upgrade project. · Provide knowledge and resources in support of corrective maintenance and enhancements on SAP application, middleware, and infrastructure components. · Work closely with SAP development, functional, and security teams. · Provide ongoing SQL authoring and performance tuning expertise. · Provide expert knowledge around failure isolation, dynamic load balancing, troubleshooting performance problems, and troubleshooting SAP database errors. · Assist management with development of SAP infrastructure and database strategies to support organization’s needs. · Organize, plan, and execute small to mid scale projects from vision through implementation. · Performs additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. · Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or related technical field or equivalent work experience. · Five years senior level experience in SAP Basis/Netweaver(Java) administration with particular experience in DB2 database administration, Netweaver/XI, and other new dimension SAP technologies. · Expert level technical skills including system administration, installation, configuration, and database management. · Sound knowledge of Unix (IBM AIX), Database (IBM DB2) administration, scripting and network architecture. · Extensive hands-on experience with SAP installations/upgrades, enhancement pack implementation, system landscape, client strategy, TMS, Solution Manager, SAPGui, SSO, SAP security architecture and tools. · Know-how and exposure to system refresh/copy, backups restore/recovery including disaster recovery, server sizing, consolidation and high availability. · Effective oral and written communication skills. · Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. *Preferred*: · Experience supporting multi node DB2 instances (DPF), DB2 v9.7, AIX, EMC, Netbackup. · IBM DB2 certification.
