Hartland, WI Storage Engineer (Need candidates with strong Netapp experience) 6 Months This is a contract position within the Thomson Reuters Markets global storage & Backup implementation & support team. Required General Skills . Flexible and willing to work on project timelines, including out of hours. . Interoperate with other technical departments in TRM . Able to communicate effectively internal customers . Possess a wide range of technical knowledge . Self motivated and able to work independently . Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in sometimes stressful situations . Proven skills analyzing and troubleshooting complex systems configurations . Effective team player willing to assist others when needed . Good written and verbal communication . Be Responsive Required Technical Qualifications . 5+ years of IT experience . 3+ years of experience supporting a SAN infrastructure . Proficient in EMC hardware and software, especially VMAX, DMX, ECC, ESRS . Proficient in NetApps hardware build and configuration, FAS Clusters, Ops Manager, NFS, CIFS, Snapmirror, vfiler config, NDMP. . Experience of managing fiber channel MDS9000 (MDS9513) SAN switches . Proficient in Veritas foundation suite. . Working knowledge of Sun Storagetek SL3000's. . Proficiency in at least one of the following operating systems: Solaris, Windows or Linux . An appreciation for business continuity and storage based replication technologies Desired Qualifications . VMAX accreditation, Any EMC storage aligned accreditation . NetApp Accreditation . TSM Accrediation . Solaris Administration Primary Responsibilities . Build, configure and provision storage infrastructure inline with the project requirements and which adheres to the existing TRM storage design standards. . Amend and create new documentation inline with existing standards . Manage and troubleshoot storage issues which include following escalation paths, both internally and externally and liaison with storage vendors . Adhere to agreed standards, policies and procedures .
