TOP 3 skills: 1) 3+ years of Architecture experience (Overall 10+yrs in IT roles) (6+ yrs in a specific technology area J2EE) 2) Advanced experience in at least 1 of 5 areas: SOA, Client Tier technologies, Business to Business, Workflow/Process Mgmt, and Enterprise Rules 3) Strong leadership abilities and communication skills (experience interfacing with CIO and executive leadership) Description: * Solution Architects are responsible for defining the technical vision within and across products and enterprise domains and assuring the vision aligns with defined business objectives. * Solution Architects act as a bridge between the business subject matter experts and technology implementers. * This role is responsible for assuring the technical vision is realized through guidance, mentoring and governance of application development teams. Experience Level Description: * The experience level is defined as having 10+ years in the IT space and 6+ years in the specific technology set they are recruited for. * Resources at this level would be expected to take on leadership roles across multi-functional teams. * A Solution Architect will display excellent oral and written communication skills and posses the ability to speak and listen effectively. * This resource will be skilled at facilitating effective meetings and distilling the information delivered into a vision that can be interpreted by technical and non-technical resources. * Solution Architects exhibit a high level of professional flexibility and volunteer innovative new ideas Responsibilities: * Work with Business Units and Lead Software Engineers to review business drivers, needs and strategies and understand the implications to application architecture. * Solution Architects have the ability to execute hands-on development of complex components and systems * Establish traceability processes between requirements and detailed application design * Ensure all technical architecture deliverables are consistent with standards * Provide support / guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes * Provide expert knowledge of application architecture, and consult business and technology teams when application architecture knowledge is needed * Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions. * Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of architecture-based SDLC and its deliverables; 4+1 Architecture Views.
