· Over 7+ years of Information Technology experience includes Oracle Database Administration (11g/10g/9i/8i) on different operating system environments like Sun Solaris, Linux Advance Server, IBM AIX, HP UX and Windows 2000/NT. · Over 3 years of MS SQL Server database Administration and Development. · Implementation of Oracle Backup and Recovery strategies using RMAN with Data Guard in RAC environment. · Involved in configuring and maintaining Real Application Clusters (RAC) on 2 nodes for high scalability and availability. · Experience in Real Application Cluster (RAC) Setup & Administration. · Expert skills on Oracle Dataguard implementation by the log shipping process between primary and standby. · Good experience in configuration of Replication setup and maintenance of Replication process. · Experience in Install, Upgrade and Configure Oracle Enterprise Editions 8i/9i/10g/11g databases on Sun Clone/Refresh of Production databases for testing and training environments using Recovery Manager (RMAN). · Setup Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 9i and Grid Control 10g/11g for database monitoring/performance/diagnostics. · Experience in Performance tuning using various aspects of the database utilities like TKProf, Explain Plan, and Stats pack/AWR/ADDM. · Experience in installing, configuring and patching Oracle Application Express (APEX). · In depth knowledge in configuring Oracle Exadata Storage Servers. · Solaris, Red hat Linux, and Windows NT/2000. · Knowledge of key metrics and reports included in the packaged applications and the data fields supported by OBIEE and source system(s). · Extensive working experience in various RDBMS, OLAP and OLTP databases. · Complete range of Oracle DBA activities including day-to-day production database monitoring includes alert log, trace file, and archive files, Troubleshooting production issues and Performance Tuning issues. · Experience in recommendations/suggestions on Physical Database design. · Experience with data management, data processing and data modeling. · Experience in writing Shell scripts to backup, restore database and automate daily activities. · Extensive experience with Database Cloning and Refreshing pre-prod/dev databases with prod/pre-production databases. · Experience in create and initialize Database Security roles. · Experience in maintaining Database Security and processing security related requests. · Experience in implementing Oracle Wait Interface (OWI) to troubleshoot I/O issues. · Good experience in SQL skills and PL/SQL programming. · Designed and implemented Backup and Recovery strategies by taking cold backup and hot backup. · Testing and implementing different physical and logical backup and Recovery methods like point in time, media recovery, full/partial and export/import. · Experience in writing Shell scripts to backup, restore database and automate daily activities. · Experience using tools like TOAD, Putty, Attunity for Oracle CDC, FogLight for SQL/Oracle performance, SQL Developer. · Good knowledge in Sun Solaris and Linux Administration. · Good knowledge in installation of Database associated products and tools. · Versatile team player with excellent analytical, communication and inter personal skills. · Provided 24 x 7 support and flexible to work beyond regular hours Technical SkillsOperating System: Windows 2003, Windows 2000, XP, Windows 95, DOS, Sun Solaris 10/9/8/7, Linux, UNIX, IBM-AIX 5.x/4.3.3/3.2, HP-UX.
