All of you who might be considering a jaunt out trackside Saturday might want to take time to stop by South Yard in Lafayette. NS has been using NREX (ex-HI of Australia) 6060 there, and as of 7pm Friday night it was working the Staley South plant with GP38-2 5100. The unit is pointed east, and should be positioned nice for morning photos. I got mine Thursday morning -- beautiful! If you haven't seen it yet, the 6060 is painted in a scheme similar to Grand Trunk, just substitute green for blue, and yellow for red. The Hammersley Iron lettering on the long hood is faded but still readable, and the bright red HI logo is still prominently displayed on the nose.
