Dave,

So say on an "analog" SD70 throttle position 5 gets your consist to 40mph
on a flat run. Now say you hit an incline. To maintain 40mph I would
assume you would move the trottle up to a different position.

Now say you are on those MACs with the computer screens and desktop
controls. When you hit the same incline, would the computer adjust the
engine speed so you maintain 40mph without moving the throttle? I guess
what I am getting at is; with the computerize cabs, are the trottle
positions matched to a certain mph and then the computer will adjust
engine speed to maintain the throttle position?

Mike

*The throttle and brake controls are acutated in the same fashion as on any
*other desktop engine. However, the procedures to cut in and cut out the
*automatic and independent brakes are all accomplished through the use of the
*computer screens.
*There are buttons beneath the corresponding commands listed at the bottom of
*each screen. All one needs to do to cut in or cut out the brakes is to push
*the button beneath the corresponding command and follow along. It is more
*complicated to explain than to actually do.
