Hello, I am the moderator of the "steel" ONElist. The list may be of interest to members of the "Illiana" list, as Northern Indiana is the top steelmaking region in the USA. The steel list is a forum for all persons interested in the manufacturing of steel. Postings are welcome regarding any facet of the steelmaking process, from the mining of iron ore and metallurgical coal, to Great Lakes bulk carriers and steel-owned railroads, to blast furnaces and rolling mills. Scale model discussion is encouraged, as is that of the prototype relating to the hobbyist. Announcements of plant tours, open-houses, museums, historical archives, and new scale model products are encouraged.
