Hi,
several years ago I chosed IlohaMail between its competition for
remarkable advantages for my users. Thanks to the author and the
contributors for the software.
On my server I'm picking together a set of various services via https,
most of the are authenticated via basic http auth (using the uniform
auth background). If one provides the same auth realm in Apache config,
the browser tries the same credentials the user previously gave for
other service, so he/she is not bugged with the authentication again and
again.
The one service that I'd like to include to my set is IlohaMail. But it
uses it's own authentication and then forwards it to local IMAP server.
Looking at the source I'm think it's unable to use Apache's ability to
request name and password. If that's true, may I ask whether the HTTP
Basic Auth feature is planned? I do think I'm not the only one who would
welcome it.
That way IlohaMail could be included to a larger web intranet systems
more seamlessly.
I was researching the topic, but with no success. Sorry if it was
previously discussed. Please give me the reference then.
Thanks,
