I am attempting to use Ilohamail to send messages through a Gmail account, but upon trying to send get the message:
"Must issue a STARTTLS command first" (which is followed by some encrypted-looking text [ e.g. "t70sm1922361pyg"] ).
I've tried both sendmail and courier mode, and am using a Gmail account as the SMTP account for all outgoing mail, if this has any bearing. I know it's not ideal to be using a fixed SMTP account and that this could be part of the problem, but need to do so to avoid using my cheap host's widely-spam-blacklisted mailserver.
Has anyone else experienced this problem/know what might be causing it? Many thanks if you can help.

PS - If there are any developers reading this, thanks for a great program! It's hard to find something like this that works with remote POP3 servers.
