The guide is quiet good. Its a great effort. Thanks for putting it up here for review. :) It would be a good idea to add some post instaal configuration and tell user's about some common applications and how to install /configure..
Regarding swap, Avoiding swap is a bad idea if you plan on hibernating the system. >From Arch Linux Beginner's guide "If you plan on using suspend-to-disk, (hibernate) you must have a swap partition at least equal in size to the amount of physical RAM, and some Arch users even recommend oversizing it beyond the amount of physical RAM by 10-15%, to allow for possible bad sectors."
