boot with live CD
open a terminal
type : sudo grub
find /boot/grub/stage1
note down the partitions
make it root as
root(hd?.?) where hd?,? is the partition noticed earlier
setup (hd0)
this will install grub on MBR
setup(hd0,4)
then
quit
Reboot your system...

yesterday i had windows XP and ubuntu..but my windows got stuck with virus..or

ubuntu 8.04 live cd with me...
